Brakes

Brake system inspection, service and repair.

The brake system is checked at inspection: pads, rotors, calipers and brake lines. We'll walk you through the condition of the components before any repair.

Signs to watch for

  • Squealing or grinding when braking
  • Vibration in the pedal or steering wheel when braking
  • A soft or sinking brake pedal
  • The vehicle pulling to one side when braking

Frequently asked questions

My brakes are squealing, is that serious?

Squealing can simply mean pads worth keeping an eye on, or a sign of more advanced wear. An inspection will tell us the actual condition of the components.

How often should brakes be checked?

It's good practice to have your brakes checked at each seasonal tire changeover, or as soon as any of the signs above show up.

Do you only replace pads, or rotors too?

It depends on the condition of the components. After inspection, we'll explain what needs replacing and why.
